Reno, NV

This past weekend we made a trek back to Corin’s hometown. Having only seen the seedy, stereotypical, “tiny Vegas” bits of Reno before, I was convinced that Corin’s claims of it “actually being pretty nice” was just rose tinted nostalgia. But low and behold, he was right. Turns out Reno is actually a pretty cozy little suburban city, reminiscent to me of some of the smaller cities I’ve visited in Utah, but with a way better food culture and art scene. Also the desert scenery has a beautiful sort of charm to it within the Reno area, and the super accessible distance away from Lake Tahoe lends greater excuse to the grey tinted landscape.
